Education
The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science & Art, New York, NY
- Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering (major) and Computer Science (minor)
- GPA: 3.55, Cum Laude
Bard High School Early College, New York, NY 9
- Associate Arts Degree – Liberal Arts
Projects
Custom Electric Bicycle
- Designed, simulated, machined, and hand-assembled a BLDC outrunner motor stator, windings, and rotor.
- Designed and assembled a planetary clutch drivetrain and bicycle hub shell to house the motor.
- Worked with other students and machinists to design the bicycle frame for welding, integration with the hub motor, bicycle wheels, and the belt-drive pedaling assembly.
Smart Mobile Light
- Designed and assembled a PCB board in EAGLE with low-power LEDs, Bluetooth integration, battery charging, voltage regulation, and temperature/ambient light sensors.
- Programmed an iOS mobile app and designed a graphical user interface to interact with the light for battery health management, light customization, activity-based charging, and emergency crash detection.
- Assembled and simulated injection molded manufacturing of a prototype enclosure for the light with a versatile mounting system and waterproof push-button switch.
- Programmed and flashed firmware written in C on a microcontroller with custom BLE services with a J-Link.
Experience
AACE Lab, Student-Technician, The Cooper Union Mar 2021 – Present
- Wrote and revised instructional and safety procedures for various machines and tools in the lab.
- Monitored the operation of machines in use and advised students on optimal and safe manufacturing processes and design modifications.
- Designed and fabricated example projects that showcased the capabilities and limitations of different machines in the lab.
TAMID Group, Tech-Track, The Cooper Union Aug 2020 – Present
- Attend seminars and present business consulting plans for startups.
- Work in a team of undergraduates on mobile development and technology consulting for an Israeli startup.
- Designed various parts of mobile app user interface and programmed requests to HTTP servers for sending and gathering relevant data and displaying to the user.
